Pössl Freizeit & Sport GmbH is a German manufacturer of motorhomes based on panel vans and vans. While production takes place at several locations in Germany, the company headquarters and administration are in Ainring, Upper Bavaria. The Pössl Group currently comprises the Pössl, Globecar, Roadcar and Clever Mobile brands on panel van basis and the Campster, Vanster, Campstar and Vanstar brands on van basis. The first Pössl motorhomes were conceived, planned and specially developed with a small team by Peter Pössl at the end of the 1980s. In 1989 the first box van models "Fan"; and "Family"; based on the Ford Transit were created. In 2002 Peter Pössl sold his company to the Glück Group. Since then, the manufacturer has undergone rapid development and is a market leader in the field of camper vans in Europe. With the support of a Europe-wide dealer and service network of more than 200 trade and service points, the PÖSSL GROUP produces and sells more than 17,000 vehicles per year.
