Rabigh Three Water Desalination Company - Acwa Power

Rabigh 3 IWP is one of the world's largest sea water reverse osmosis desalination plants to be built in Saudi Arabia. Rabigh 3 IWP will produce 600,000 cubic meters a day, the equivalent of filling 240 Olympic size swimming pools. The innovative design of this plant ensures the highest efficiency, reliability and availability in comparison to similar plants around the world. The USD750 million project will help meet the water demand of Makkah and Jeddah. It will ensure consistent, reliable and steady water supply to the citizens of the two cities and village. ACWA Power won the Rabigh 3 IWP project at the lowest tariff of 0.53USD/m3 under a 25-year build-own-agreement and will start commercial operation on the 31st of December 2021.
