Royal College Computer Society
The Royal College Computer Society was founded in 1982 by Mr. W.A. Wickramasena by the name "Programmers' Club of Royal College" to be the first school level Information Technology society in Sri Lanka. Mr. H. W. De Silva and Mrs. Manel Manage were appointed as Master in charge and Teacher in charge. Since then the RCCS played a more prominent role in inspiring innovation among students of the Royal College. Since its inception, the RCCS has had strong participation in major ICT events at college and across the country. The main area of focus of the club is the Information Technology field. Such as Software Development, Graphic Designing, Robotics and more. The main avenues of the club are, Armitage for programming, Zenith for robotics, Insignia for designing, Frostbyte for esports, Orthodox for competitions.
