Sinclair Knight Merz
Sinclair Knight Merz (SKM) was an Australian engineering and project delivery company founded in 1964. It grew through several mergers, including a notable one with Merz Australia in 1996. SKM operated globally, with offices in the Asia-Pacific, Americas, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. The company offered a diverse range of services across four main business units: Buildings and Infrastructure, Power and Energy, Mining and Metals, and Water and Environment. These services included project planning, engineering design, construction management, and environmental consulting. SKM was known for its strategic consulting and project delivery capabilities, serving a wide array of clients, including government agencies and private companies. At its peak, SKM employed over 7,500 people and reported revenues of approximately $1.3 billion in 2013. The company was acquired by Jacobs Engineering Group in 2013, and its legacy continues under that brand.
