The Society Of Women Engineers is a not for profit international organization with over 42,000 members worldwide. The University of Maryland SWE section promotes women's involvement in the engineering and technology industry through personal development, networking, and scholarship programs. Our objective is to provide a sense of community and opportunities so that women can create a long-lasting impact. SWE's mission: Serve as a center of information for young women, their parents, counselors, and the general public. Encourage women engineers to attain high levels of education and professional achievement.
