SUL PONT is short for the Italian word "Sul Ponticello". It is a contemporary classical playing technique for stringed instruments when musicians play with the bow kept near or on the bridge. This technique brings out the higher harmonics and thereby produces a distinctive and unusual sound. We choose this to be our company name as our business is positioned to bridge the gap in the current music industry, which is the key part of the instrument that brings out this beautifully distinctive sound. We build a social network for classical musicians to create personal profiles and communities that are tailored for musicians, as well as a platform for them to share, inspire, recruit and collaborate. We are currently the only social network that is dedicated to classical musicians. We believe the most beautiful sounds are created when people are connected and collaborations are allowed to happen.
