The Community Farm
A farm for the future The Community Farm supplies fresh organic fruit and vegetables to homes and businesses in and around Bristol, Bath and the Chew Valley. We are a community-focussed social enterprise – more than 500 local people share ownership of the farm and have a say in how it is run. We provide hands-on experience of organic farming through volunteering, group activities, workshops and special events. We're a not-for-profit organisation, investing income from our box and wholesale business into our other activities; The money we make goes into making educational and community activities happen: children's farm visits, community events and other opportunities for learning about farming and food; We are of and for the community. The Community Farm is a member-owned community benefit society with 500 members and share-holders; We provide volunteering, events, children's activities, and farm visits for schools, businesses and other groups, to help people reconnect with the land where their food is grown; Our learning programme works to enhance the public's understanding of farming and demonstrate how food can be produced in a sustainable way; We are working towards providing activities for a range of vulnerable groups of people
