The Mindful Birthing and Parenting Foundation
The Mindful Birthing and Parenting Foundation (MBPF) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to providing education and training in mindfulness skills for expectant parents, families, children, and the professionals who care for them. Our signature program, Mindfulness-Based Childbirth and Parenting Teacher Training (MBCPTT) is an 11-month, online live-training where we train perinatal professionals to teach MBCP to expectant parents in their communities. We are now accepting applications for teacher training beginning in September 2020. To learn more visit www.mindfulbirthing.org/teach Founded by nurse-midwife Nancy Bardacke, CNM, the MBCP program is one of the first adaptations of the world-renowned Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Program (MBSR) founded by Jon Kabat-Zinn, PhD. After teaching MBSR for a number of years, Nancy began adapting the program to meet the needs of pregnant women and their partners, creating the MBCP program together with the MBPF foundation we have trained hundreds of MBCP teachers across six continents. Nancy's award-winning book, Mindful Birthing: Training the Mind, Body and Heart for Childbirth and Beyond was published in July 2012 by HarperOne and has been translated into Dutch, German, French, Turkish, Romanian, and Chinese.
