The Oceancy
We are an international NGO and our goal is to protect marine ecosystems by promoting sustainable tourism, carrying out restoration projects, and spreading oceanic conservation awareness through education and scientific research. We are currently running coral reef and mangrove forest restoration projects around the world in collaboration with other NGOs and local communities (with more projects to come in the future). In addition, we have developed sustainability projects for tour operators, hotels, resorts, and other entities called Sustainability Improvement Programs (SIPs) to reduce the human impact during leisure and touristic activities such as scuba diving, snorkelling, whale watching, and more, including one project dedicated to cutting the use of unnecessary plastic. Our Mission To protect marine life by supporting sustainable tourism and restoration projects π We fight for sustainable tourism β»οΈ ππ» We support local communities π± π We protect wildlife π¬ π We restore marine ecosystems βοΈ At the Oceancy we believe that sustainability is a key component of our future. We have developed guidance and training for driving the tourism toward a new era where the protection of nature and wildlife have a predominant role in our daily life. We know that this is not a simple task, our number one enemy is climate change but we believe that we can win this battle, together. Join our community at the Oceancy to re-think and design a new way of travel. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IBg9S5mS7kk&t=1s
