Université de Picardie Jules Verne (Amiens)
Welcome to the Innovative Technologies Laboratory (LTI), a research unit dedicated to reinventing energy in a sustainable, renewable, and smart way. Affiliated with the University of Picardie Jules Verne, the LTI plays a crucial role in the transition towards more environmentally friendly practices. With over twenty years of experience, our laboratory brings together nearly 100 members, including more than 50 teacher-researchers and 20 associate researchers, all focused on optimizing energy resources and developing smart systems. Through applied and project-based research (utilizing various public funding streams), we work closely with our partners to develop innovative initiatives and turn them into concrete solutions. Thanks to our multi-site presence in the cities of Amiens, Saint-Quentin, Soissons/Cuffies, and Creil, LTI enjoys direct proximity to its partners, ensuring an effective territorial network aligned with the local industrial fabric. This extensive presence enables the laboratory to remain attuned to the specific needs of each region and to adapt its projects accordingly. Our researchers are active in two research ecosystems: Eco-Materials and Sustainable Habitat, specializing in the development of eco-designed materials and building energy performance, and Electric Energy and Associated Systems, which focuses on innovation in energy systems and smart grid management. Two thematic and cross-cutting axes support these two innovative ecosystem poles: Intelligent Systems, which explores the application of artificial intelligence to optimize decision-making in complex systems, and Mechanics and Materials Engineering, focused on modeling and innovation in materials and processes.
