University of North Georgia
The University of North Georgia (UNG) is a public higher education institution located in northern Georgia. Established in 2013 through the merger of North Georgia College & State University and Gainesville State College, UNG has roots dating back to 1873. It is one of the oldest public institutions in the state, originally focusing on agriculture and mechanical arts. UNG operates across four campuses: Dahlonega, Gainesville, Cumming, and Oconee. The university offers a variety of undergraduate and graduate degree programs in fields such as arts, sciences, business, education, and health sciences. It is recognized as a Senior Military College, featuring a robust Corps of Cadets program.
