World Energy Storage Day (WESD) - 22nd September

Why World Energy Storage Day? With a rising focus on the effective integration of renewable energy, the importance of electric vehicle and reliable, resilient energy supply, energy storage is becoming an increasingly important tool in the electricity ecosystem. With Energy Storage rising to the forefront of industry developments, Global Energy Storage Alliance proposed World Energy Storage Day to be held on 22nd September to acknowledge its importance across the globe in 2017. Since then, 22nd September has been celebrate globally to bring focus on advances of energy storage, microgrids and emobility technologies as well as policies.
