During this time I explored different options included but not limited to: A short contract as AV Technician - Sound with Celebrity Cruises (Sept 17 - Dec 17) Projects as Audio and Video Operator for GAM eventos (Dec 17 - Feb 18) Project Manager for Proyect-Arte (Feb 18 - May - 18)
Responsible for setup and audio operation in concerts and corporate events. Technical development for show automation including QLab programming to control mixing desks using MIDI and other protocols. So far I have had the opportunity of participating in important events such as BIME 2016 (Bilbao) and Madrid Fusión among many others.
Responsible for a wide range of AV deliveries. Coordinate AV teams of around twenty members including free-lances and contractors. Involved in the process from the site visits with the clients, all the way to designing, drawing and quoting for small and large-scale event. My responsibilities include equipment and crew selection from our stock as well as cross hiring from other companies. Managing conference, corporate and social event included but not limited to venue based jobs. Work directly with the clients from all around the world and also internally with the Operations Director and HODs to evaluate projects and guarantee a high quality delivery.
Operate the main theatre and coordinating the sound all around the ship. In the main venues we worked with digital mixers operating FOH and monitors for Broadway/West-End-like shows. The set up consist mainly in a live-nine-pieces orchestra, singers and backing tracks. Commonly using up to sixteen headset and handheld wireless microphones during the shows. The monitor system goes up to twenty mixes including wedge, stage fills and in-ear-monitors as well as using an AVIOM system for the musicians. The shows are time-code-based running all the automated systems. Big bands and guest entertainers including, but not limited to: instrumentalists, singers, comedians, magician and jugglers. I worked together with the lighting and automation engineers to provide audiovisual service to all the entertainment events and venues that happened ship-wide.
In charge of the audio operations all around the ship, covering different venues with bands and entertainment events. The Main Theatre was the venue I spent most of my time, operating sound for Broadway style shows and a huge variety of artists including James Stephen III, Doug Cameron and Antonio Salci among many others. During the contract with Celebrity I have been also involved in two dry docks, opening of a new ship and special projects, setting and overseeing the AV operation ship wide for new live music programs.
Responsible for setting up and operating the audio system in various events such as the Station Sessions at King’s Cross St. Pancras and SHOWstudio gallery.
