My current role as Head of ICT Services at the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust is one of a transformational change leader, ensuring the Trust’s adoption of new technologies, and services to meet current and future requirements to support our patients - some of which are the most vulnerable members of the south-west community. This has included but is not limited to, the delivery of large-scale projects and solutions relating to: • Creation of a heterogeneous, highly resilient, and performance-focused network with a standardised local delivery model to support 90+ ambulance stations and specialist response teams across eight counties. • Network infrastructure refresh, including the introduction of management tools, automation, and increased security at the edge. • Compute and storage refresh, including the introduction of management tools to develop demand and capacity planning, to enable a controlled and progressive move to the cloud. • Desktop refresh and delivery optimisation models to enable to work remotely. • Multisite 999 telephony, voice recording and integration with the National Ambulance Radio Programme. • Development and implementation of cyber security strategies across all technology solutions, including carbon life forms!
