DIL Trust UK- VISION No child in Pakistan, no matter how poor or underprivileged should be denied access to quality education and all children should have equal opportunity to reach their full potential and become productive members of society. DIL operates in all four provinces of Pakistan, and in England. In Pakistan, DIL establishes, adopts and manages 184 primary and middle school units for underprivileged children in partnership with 4 non-governmental organizations in all four provinces of Pakistan. In addition, DIL directly operates 78 community schools in Punjab and Sindh. DIL provides professional development for its teachers and has launched an interactive program for teachers and students T.E.A.L Technology enabled Academic Learning . To achieve maximum impact DIL also provides high-quality professional development to teachers and principals across Pakistan based on its successful training model. In 2010, DIL trained 211 non-DIL teachers indirectly impacting over 6,000 students in Sind and Punjab. DIL UK's DFID grant trained teachers that improved learning content, impacting 252,000 students in 3 years. In addition to supporting DIL’s work in Pakistan, DIL Trust UK is focused on supporting underperforming schools in underprivileged multi-ethnic minority areas in England and Wales.
