Thanks to a unique arrangement with the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) I was tasked with delivering GM dealership technician training on ALL automobile technologies over the course of almost 30-years. Specializing in automotive electronics I also delivered dealer training in every electrification system GM produced. From the 2003 Parallel Hybrid Truck, 2006 BAS and BAS2 Belted Alternator-Starter Hybrids, 2-Mode Hybrids used in 2008-13 SUVs and pickups, 2011-19 Chevy Volt and Cadillac ELR Exteded Range Electric Vehicles (EREV) and 2015-17 Spark EV and BOLT.
A career highlight for me was delivering EV1 BEV training to a select group of Saturn dealership technicians in 1996-97 to support a local test fleet in Vancouver BC Also trained Saturn technicians on the BAS2 Aura Hybrids and the amazing (but short lived) 2-Mode Hybrid FWD VUE

General Motors Grand Master Technician 1983-88 ASE Master Tech Certified GM S.E.T. pilot program participant AB Regional Lead Technician - Cadillac Field Service Team (General Motors of Canada) Originally began working at this large GM dealership in order to gain more complete automotive experience and to qualify to receive OEM (GM ) training on emerging automotive technologies such as Electronic Fuel Injection and other electronic control systems. Eventually became lead technician and shop foreman. Was eventually approached by General Motors of Canada to participate in a pilot educational program designed to create better diagnosticians through non-traditional means and methods which led me to my eventual employment within General Motors of Canada in cooperation with the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT)
