Worked on a number of projects to provide natural language processing and data mining/modelling expertise: · King's College, London (September, 2017 - July, 2018) Worked with the Policy Institute to mine unstructured data in the life sciences. · Careers Advisory Service (CRAC), Cambridge (August – December, 2016) Mined unstructured data to advise Director on staff wellbeing and equality policies in higher education. · Facebook, Palo Alto, CA (May 2012) Hosted by the Data Science team to exchange best practice and to explore collaboration. · Wikimedia Foundation, San Francisco, CA (May 2011 – Sept 2012) Worked with the Product Development Team to analyse data from user-engagement experiments to better understand motivation and participation in Wikipedia. · Oxford University, Internet Institute/University of Bath, Management School (May 2010 – May 2011) Partnering with the project manager, I designed and implemented the development of the Privacy Dictionary text analysis tool from inception through to its release and publication of validation studies · Enterprise IG/WPP, London (Brand language and personality strategy) (August 2006) Developed a framework white paper manual to apply my research in personality and language analytics to existing concepts of personality types used in marketing. · Cornel University, NY (November 2004) Analysed unstructured data; advised Information Science researchers on text mining; guest lectured.
