Since September 2022 I am in charge of the entire portfolio of IT projects developed by DG CONNECT to support the Digital Services Act regulation, but my involvement started even earlier. Initial Contribution (Nov 2021): As part of the IT unit (R3) of DG CONNECT, I was involved in recruiting two product owners for the business unit (F2) in charge of the DSA Regulation. Development Phase (May 2022): Collaborated with Unit F2 to define the DSA IT platform's requirements. Led a team of four developers in a month-long effort to produce five diverse proofs of concept, which helped identify a key technology solution. Navigating Outsourcing Hurdles: Assisted in reorienting the project approach when external development faced challenges due to short timing and unclear requirements. Leadership Role (Since Sep 2022): Entrusted with leading the project by the management of DG CONNECT. Managed the shift to internal development, involved in setting up project governance structures, and expanded the team from 5 to 50+ members. Currently managing a team across three significant modules of the DSA IT system, out of a total of six. Focused on delivering the first version by the deadline (Feb 2024), a task with considerable time pressure and high political relevance.
