Design and assembly of an automated robotic MIG welding platform, in order to create the aluminum base of sun heated panels. The design of the platform fully satisfied the area constraints, as well as, the worker safety regulations. The two ABB robotic cells had to be carefully programmed; maximum possible welding speed had been achieved, minimizing any defects appearance.
I was hired by METKA.SA as Supervisor Mechanical Engineer as part of one of there project, whose objective was to extend the Dier Ali II Power Plant CCPP 701 MW, Damascus, Syria. My responsibilities and tasks were the following: • Responsible for reporting site activities to the Site Manager, with emphasis in time scheduling and dead lines. • Installation of a part of the Cooling Tower of Power Plant, ” GEA-EGI Company” • Installation of Isolated Phase Bus-Ducts of Power Plant, “Alpha Standard “-Italian Company • Installation of Step Up Transformer for Substation 400KV of Power Plant, “GETRA Transformers”- Italian Company • Installation of Auxiliary Transformer of Power Plant, “ElectrePutere Transformers” –Romanian Company • Installation of Generator Circuit Breaker (’’ALSTOM’’ GCB) of Power Plant • Supervision of installation of foundation Earthing Systems in Power Plant • Installation of underground Electrical Network of Power Plant • Installation of HVAC Systems in Power Plant • Coordinator of Electro-Mechanical studies for all Buildings
Responsible for: • Production lines time schedulling (Refrigerators and Stainless Construction) • Quality control of the products • Logistic planning • International Sales promotion • Product designing
Responsible for: • Allocation of human resources. • Building residencies. • Planning and modifications depending on the customers’ needs. Note: During the above mentioned period, I had been working only during the summer. In other words, this has been as a summer job for me. Also, I am currently working for them as a part time consultant.
