Co-responsible for deal-making for all original television series and movies concerning Spain on behalf of the studio throughout the lifespan of a project. I am in charge of managing and leading negotiations related to above-the-line deals, for scripted TV, unscripted TV, and movies, such as talent deals (i.e., writer, producer, director, cast, etc.), development deals (i.e., original scripts, book rights, format rights, first looks, etc.) and production company deals with amazing Spanish production companies and broadcasters, for upcoming and incredible original content for Amazon.

I worked in ECIJA, inside the TMT department, focused in Intellectual Property, Media & Entertainment Law, in which ECIJA is leader and recognised as the best Spanish law firm. ECIJA is a Top 5 independent Law Firm in the Spanish market, comprised of more than 600 lawyers and consultants. I had the opportunity to participate in projects in Entertainment sector, advising Spanish production companies, international OTT platforms and majors, from beginning to end in relation to all IP issues, media, leisure and entertainment. With wide experience in the structuring and optimization of the financing of audiovisual projects.

During my stay at Andersen´s Culture, Sports & Entertainment team, I have provided multidisciplinary and specialized legal advice in any IP/media or audiovisual matter, such as the drafting, negotiation, execution and follow up on all type of agreements regarding the production of contents, media, and entertainment.

As member of the legal department of PRISA´s news unit (PRISA Noticias), I have provided complete and proactive legal support tailored to the needs of the business, to all PRISA’s news brands (El País, Cinco Días, As, El Huffington Post, Tentaciones, SModa, Babelia, Buena Vida, Icon, El País Semanal and MeriStation, as well as a number of corporate magazines) in relation to all type og granting and exploitation Intellectual Property Rights, Trademarks, Corporate Law, Data Protection and new GPDR, New Digital Technologies, Image Rights, all type of media contracts,complex international M&A operations, etc. PRISA is the world’s leading Spanish and Portuguese-language media group in the creation and distribution of content in the fields of culture, education, news and information, and entertainment.

My professional practice in Aransay/Vidaurre Copyright Image Lawyers was focused on intellectual property (IP), media, audiovisual & entertainment law; particularly as a legal counsel to corporations devoted to audiovisual, advertising and music. Similarly, with valuable experience in litigation on all sorts of procedures concerning these matters, especially in relation to the activities of cinema & television production and broadcasting, music publishing, administrative matters, claims, honour demands, and others.
