A management dashboard for liquid and gas pipelines is provided as an example of my data application activities and my new challenge is to implement them with ignition software (link: inductiveautomation). Lastly, I have working as a researcher with ADEPP company (link: adepp) where we focus on process safety management. The result of these experiences and collaborations is a general Digital Twin platform for asset integrity management (‘Genius platform’) and a module for leakage/ fault detection application and reduce false alarms. The module (the related demo is accessible) includes a web-based online dashboard that can be connected to SCADA and all data can be accessed through OPC UA. That allows real-time monitoring and control, providing a 360-degree view of all assets. Additionally, for situations where data acquisition is difficult, I created a client/server using Python on an embedded system to act as an edge device and transfer data online to servers. On the other hand, I used MATLAB for simulation, pattern recognition algorithms, ML tools, and removing unwanted noise using EKF. A case study in this demo is a transmission line that accurately detects and displays the location of a leak on the map. The platform is a human-machine interaction designed by studying articles over years and scrutiny of large companies in various industries. Using this platform, processes can be dynamically monitored, and probable procedures can be predicted to create a safe environment and smarter automation using AI. Moreover, using this platform, access to all engineering documents is possible (using SharePoint).
