Allen Fata's current jobs
I wear many different "hats" - typical for a small manufacturing business. Everything from signing the checks to operating the forklift. However, my primary achievements thus far are: • Initiated and completed a re-branding campaign • Formulated new costing calculations and pricing strategies • Proposed capital investments and equipment modification, reducing product costs up to 12% and increasing our manufacturing capabilities • Planned and performed in-house product benchmark testing
Allen Fata's past jobs
In addition to responsibilities as a Project Engineer: • Approved drawings, part reports, design documentation and testing procedures for manifold and jumper projects • Tracked progress of on-going projects and proposed mitigation plans for projects at risk of missing milestones • Responsible for engineering activities for "2-month manifold" process-improvement project, dramatically improving manifold delivery and reducing cost (improved by 6 weeks, ~30%, respectively - on one of my projects) I also completed a year-long engineering assignment in Norway, supporting a technically challenging & tight-delivery pumping manifold project (ENI 15/06 West Hub)
I was responsible for the engineering activities during execution of manifold & jumper projects. Primary responsibilities were: • Confirmed project requirements based on customer's expectation and FMC's tendered assumptions. Recognize changes and raise change orders as needed • Communicated project's technical requirements to mechanical designers, analysts, and component engineers • Designed manifolds, jumpers, & foundations following FMC's internal design process • Reviewed product fabrication drawings, part reports, and documentation • Extensive collaboration with customers, suppliers, & FMC procurement/planning/project management to deliver products on-time and within budget • Provided engineering support and NCR resolution during manifold fabrication, Factory Acceptance Testing(FAT), and System Integration Testing(SIT) Successful manifold & jumper projects for Anadarko, Petrobras, Tullow, ExxonMobil, Chevron. (10+ Manifold & Jumper Projects completed) Additional experiences from this role: • Experienced in project tendering - created costing Bills of Material & Engineering Cost/Time/Resources estimates. Wrote Project Specifications and Performed Gap Analysis. • Provided manifold engineering expertise for FEED and pre-FEED studies. • Created a datasheet template to communicate project requirements to component engineering and analysis groups.
This was my entry-level position within the Subsea Manifold and Pipeline Systems group. Primary responsibilities include: • Create manufacturing drawings, part reports and assembly & test procedures for manifold components - valves, hubs, connectors, pipe, and fittings to meet customer, project, & regulatory requirements. • Resolved manufacturing and assembly non-conformances • Authored product design guidelines and mentored new engineers • Led a process improvement initiative to standardize component design, reduce drafting error, and increase drafting through-put.
Assisted engineers and technicians with emissions testing and R&D for medium-speed diesel and locomotive engines
