I cover some of the world’s biggest tech companies like Airbnb, Spotify, and Meta and their influential figures. I have written about the evolving workforce, from the ways AI is reshaping roles to how employees are changing their relationship to the job or how they look for work. My reporting includes deep dives into the tech workforce, looking at the rise of product managers, chief medical officers, and how ageism disproportionately affects tech workers. I have captured massive shifts in workplace culture and norms, like the rise of skills-based hiring, the death of resumes, and how workers are fighting an AI "workslop" creep. I also writes about shifting tech trends, and how people are reevaluating how they spend screen time or what apps they use to meet new people. I have covered the influence of social media platforms like Twitter as well as TikTok trends and YouTube creators.

I covered the world of tech and business, writing stories about gen AI, housing, the music industry, and the tech workforce. I was responsible first for covering breaking, general assignment news at WIRED. I jumped on big stories like the sale of Twitter to Elon Musk, updates in the spread of Covid-19, and massive layoffs in the tech industry, writing explainers to contextualize the latest news for readers. I later became a business writer, and took deep dives into the ways that Airbnb's party ban was faltering and how the company's presence was reshaping construction trends in cities like Miami. I also wrote about how ageism affects tech workers, how AI had burned out recruiters, and the people who wanted to use AI to fix the broken hiring system.

I wrote long form features about the technology industry and its intersection with culture, writing about social media trends, web3, crypto currency, and eSports. These features, along with shorter Q&As and news analysis, ran weekly in a special Sunday edition of the newsletter that reached more than 4 million readers, advancing the newsletter beyond daily news aggregation with exclusive storytelling.

I was a member of the Star-Ledger's Statehouse bureau, primarily covering cannabis legalization and the business industry surrounding it. I also covered the COVID-19 pandemic at length, elections and politics in Trenton. I wrote for a weekly, paid subscriber newsletter that contextualized the latest news of the legal cannabis business and constantly broke exclusive news. I was a regular event moderator, designing and hosting panels for cannabis industry specific conferences, happy hours, and other professional networking events. I became widely known throughout New Jersey as go-to source for political and cannabis news. I also served as a panelist for the 2021 New Jersey Gubernatorial Debate, working with anchors at ABC news to come up with an hour of topics and questions, and then participating in the live televised event.

I wrote breaking crime and local news for the Boston Globe metro section on nights and weekend shifts.

I was a general assignment news fellow, writing about national, international, tech, business, and science news. I covered the 2016 election particularly closely with an emphasis on ethics, voting rights, and campaign tactics.

I wrote local lifestyle content for Boston magazine’s website, and also helped to convert print content to online formats. After leaving my internship, I continued to publish freelance work for the web.
