• Establishing & maintaining excellent working relationships with new and existing customers (pulp & lumber). • Demonstrating continued and improved communication, results, streamlined work process and worked cooperatively & collaboratively with customers as well as within teams & other trade offices. • Creating voyages in Dataloy and initiating voyage planning/execution. • Maintaining data accuracy, valid and complete in a timely manner throughout the Voyage Execution as well as in Master File. • Working closely with Ops for coordinated communication between customers, vessels, agents and brokers. • Looking after shipments to Japan/Korea/China (Pulp & Lumber). Keeping track of relevant transhipment charges as well as changes in compliance with designated volume/destinations/Receivers. • Monitoring potential possibilities impacting vsl schedule integrity incl. but not limited to cargo in transit; railcars/trucks, embargoes, port/terminal congestions/wfb, changes in port regulations in view of covid measures etc. • Maintaining accurate track record of volume fluctuations per customer/mill/vsl/load & disch. port while ensuring Ops being always updated. Obtaining regular rolling forecasts from customers in view of market changes/dynamics. • Distribution of weekly sailing schedule to all relevant customers and sharing vsl ETAs & load./disch. volumes with terminals. • Maintaining customers cargo availability for max safe intake per vsl capacity (cubic/dwt) in close coordination with Ops. • BAF calculation and circulation per COA / destination. • Invoice approval (AR & AP) in compliance with COA & spot approval rates while ensuring customers received freight invoices promptly/upon vessel load completion/sailing. • Reviewing laytime calculations. • Set and ensuring cut offs being met at loading ports mainly; Lynnterm & Squamish by having all cargo readily available for prompt loading upon vessel arrival. • Monitoring market developments, conditions and charter rates.
