Having always wanted to flex my entrepreneurial ‘muscles’ I founded Abbeydale Food Group in 2011. We kicked off our journey acquiring two small food manufacturing businesses, out of administration. I am proud that we have taken the business from humble beginnings and through hard work, determination, taking a few(!) risks, two further acquisitions, three disposals and a global pandemic we forecast sales to top £40m this financial year. We now employ over 360 people across at our summit foods site in Preston. I have enjoyed all my roles, but the last 10 years have been undoubtedly the most exciting, fun, challenging, scary and rewarding.
