Andrew Ross

Andrew has more than twenty years of experience as a seasoned and skilled leader, strategic and innovative thinker, and a creative and clear communicator at the highest levels in the governmental, political and corporate worlds. Andrew has been a senior communications strategist for Governors and CEOs to issue-based and political campaigns. From message development and complete communication campaign strategies to media training and crisis communications, Andrew understands how to sell, tell and manage his clients' most difficult issues efficiently and effectively. He spent more than four years working for Illinois Governor Pat Quinn - most recently as his Chief Operating Officer. Andrew led the efforts to help keep and attract various companies to Illinois, including Ford, Chrysler, Motorola Mobility, Navistar, Sears and Woodward. He has worked with everyone from major CEOs to mid-sized companies to entrepreneurs and startups. Andrew was responsible for helping coordinate successful communications, legislative and political strategies for high-profile issues ranging from the potential relocation of Guantanamo Bay prisoners to Illinois and pension and Medicaid reform to striking a historic McCormick Place labor deal that saved 66,000 convention and tourism jobs to a $31 billion capital program, which rebuilt schools, roads and bridges across the state. Previously, he oversaw communications and government relations as a Managing Director at Clayco, which is an international, design-build and construction company, and was a Vice President for Fleishman-Hillard handling AT&T Illinois' public affairs. Andrew started his career by working for a decade in television production, including producing positions at ABC News, CBS News, CNN and MSNBC.
