Lead CampSaver.com from a bootstrapped startup in 2003 to a top 5 Outdoor Specialty Retailer. Developed a goal from day one to deliver an exceptional experience and remained laser focused on this goal. Accomplished this goal in every way possible before exiting to a strategic buyer in 2015. LEADERSHIP METHODOLOGY Built, managed and lead departments that directly affected revenue, profitably and growth. Including but not limited to digital marketing, supply chain development, platform development, design/branding, content management and software development. Hired smarter people than me to manage HR, customer service, brick & mortar, accounting, etc. BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT Created relationships with over 300 Outdoor Specialty suppliers like Patagonia, Arc'teryx & Columbia. Through these relationships we grew our catalog to over 100,000 active skus across equipment, footwear & apparel. Built multiple warehouses from which we shipped 99% of orders direct to consumer with less than 1% error rate. Deployed multiple WMS solutions to automate picking & packing. E-COMMERCE STRATEGY Responsible for overall e-commerce strategy and execution. Oversaw and deployed multiple e-commerce and backend platforms including Magento and Stone Edge. Built out teams in content management, marketing, supply chain, IT & design. Laser focused on conversion, customer acquisition and usability/user interface. 60 consecutive quarters of growth and profitability.
