The Financing Alliance for Health (FAH) is a partnership that works with governments (Ministries of Health and Finance) on financing strategies for primary and community health systems, that operate at scale. As a systems change agent, our mandate is to move the conversation beyond simply increasing dollar amounts in silos, to using the full tools of financing and identify the appropriate type and mix of sustainable financing options. Our impact since inception is detailed in attached annual reports. As a highlight, in consultation with the FAH Board and team, across; • Leadership, strategy development and fundraising: I have o Developed the inaugural 5 year Growth for Impact strategy o Grown the team from 1 FTE to 37 team members, cumulatively, 100% of senior leadership is African female and >80% of the team are <35 years of age o Increased the organization’s funding by 13X • Financing: Together with partners; o Supported African governments, to focus >US$100 Million on community health o Co-designed 2 innovative financing instruments with country governments and African Development Bank at a workshop, sponsored and held at The Rockefeller Foundation Bellagio Centre in Italy o Developed a catalogue of ~100 different financing options to support governments plug funding gaps • Initiative development and oversight: I have o Increased our geographical footprint from 2 (Sierra Leone and Liberia) to 12 countries (expanding to Uganda, Malawi, Zambia, Zimbabwe, South Africa, Rwanda, Togo and Kenya and carrying out feasibility assessments in Burkina Faso and Haiti), while still maintaining strong ongoing relationships with in country member organizations • Advocacy: Overseen the development, publication and dissemination of insights; o Closing US$2 billion gap , co-authored with USAID CII o Contributed content for an online course with 11000+ learners from 175+ countries • Strategic partnerships: Grown our Technical Advisory Group (TAG) to >35 members
