Threads Worldwide is a social impact organization that works to eradicate poverty and empower women by creating dignified, sustainable work through the fair trade of artisan jewelry. We partner with artisan cooperatives in eight developing countries around the world to provide a marketplace for their beautiful handcrafted pieces here in the United States. As a Threads Fair Trade Partner who launched the Chicagoland area market, I educate customers about our 360* approach to fair trade practices and tell the stories of our artisan partners to illustrate the transformative impact that fair trade has on their lives and the immediacy with which this work uplifts their families, communities, and their local economies.
