About Aryah’s role in IVillage: Proud to be the founder of IVillage and watch it grow from the grassroots since March of 2015, its inception. Been a part of the creative churn of concepts to the inception of Product Development. Setting up the Design Department involved a lot of creative ideas flowing. Framed and launched the first team in the village and then went on to build an efficient team in Delhi to manage the entire system. Thereon, building connections and increased our clientele for the hand-stitched products produced in the villages. This robust success helped IVillage grow into the lucrative organization it is now. It was indeed a very remarkable journey to be an active member ever since IVillage housed a very low number of 22 employees at the commencement of growing into an organization housing 250 employees during the first lockdown in 2020. Until the second wave of Covid-19, employment of women in the villages associated with IVillage has increased along with the increase in their salaries and takeaways. Very gratified to mention that being a part of IVillage has made an impact on our primary stakeholders (the women employed at the villages) by empowering them with skills we have trained them for which paves a path to their financial stability, and on the whole impacted their lives by providing them a better living situation. On the other side, an impact is made by the Sustainable products produced by reducing the usage of plastic and turning into a sustainable Corporate Gifting Company. Looking into scaling our woman force as high as 500 to 1000 and aiming at broader horizons to go International. This in turn creates a significant impact on the village women who were previously homemakers and provides them with financial empowerment and independence aiding in making the world a better sustainable place.
