Bart Tegelbeckers's past jobs
Full time job.
Full time job.
Full time job. As the technologist within the team of Research & Development I support the various production facilities with process technology issues when necessary. I give guidance at all sites, so I know what is going on and where the opportunities lie regarding optimization and development. From the headquarters I develop more efficient production methods and processes, and I have this tested at pilot scale. Successful outcomes are further developed, scaled up and implemented in the production. I also work on the reprocessing of raw materials to new, high-quality materials and on recipe development through the implementation of these reprocessed materials in the formulation of the final products.
Full time internship. Gypsum formation in the cooling towers lead to high cleaning costs and production losses. During my internship I worked on possible solutions for this problem. To achieve this I worked together with multiple departments within Nyrstar, among others; production, reliability engineering and project engineering. After multiple tests a solution was found which is being implemented at the moment. Apart from this specific assignment, I job shadowed the department’s technologist and obtained a good insight of the daily activities in a chemical factory.
Part time job. Because of the diverse audience at the casino, I had to align my behavior with the mood the visitors are in. Some people like a good chat, while others want to get their order and play again as soon as possible.
Summer job. Testing of shell-life of different mixes of hydrogen peroxid and peracetic acid mixtures. Also before any hydrogen peroxide was shipped, I had to test if it met all criteria: stability test on the hydrogen peroxid, hydrogen peroxid and peracetic acid concentration measurements, conductivity measurements.
Part time job. Because every work acquaintance had its own way of doing things, I learned to adapt to different situations.
Summer job at a large paper factory. Being the only holiday worker I had to replace multiple colleagues who went on their holiday. My job consisted of supplying multiple paper factories, up to 5 trucks per day each, and much telephone contact with Dutch and German contacts.
