I have been working for over a decade to create the ideal digestive health beverage. I helped start a kombucha company at 20, a probiotic water kefir soda at 24 and created OLIPOP at 32. OLIPOP is the byproduct of thousands of hours of research and formulation in pursuit of the most effective and tasty ingredients for microbiome and digestive health. I created FWD.DJ to promote excellence and craftsmanship in electronic music. It's grown into thriving and carefully curated online hub for exclusive sets and interviews from top-quality underground electronic musicians. Exited in Oct 2016 Undertook a multi-year R&D process which resulted in multiple pieces of IP in the fermentation/probiotic category and the creation of a totally new beverage and beverage category (probiotic soda made from non-dairy kefir). Raised over 2M in funding, reached $1M+ in sales (1.5 years in market), and saw a 250% increase in sales in its last 12 months on market. Regularly outsold all but the top 2 probiotic RTD competitors in accounts where Obi was listed. Secured listings with Ralphs, Fred Meyers, QFC, Whole Foods, Safeway, Sprouts Market, Vitamin Shop, and hundreds of independent natural and conventional chain stores. Total footprint ~ 800 retail locations in 7 states. Distribution through KEHE, UNFI, DPI, Rainforest (NYC). Built a custom 5000sf dedicated production and fermentation facility capable of producing over 1M cases of product per month. Engaged Senator Bill Monning, Eva Longoria and Rickie Martin’s charitable orgs, the CA state PTA and CA United Way to engage CA school districts around healthy food choices and soda reduction for 6M+ students.
