Berried in Tas ("BIT") is a state of the art intensive berry farming operation located in Oaks, Tasmania, just 15min drive from Launceston. The property is 80ha in total with over 17ha of tunnel and table, drip fertigation infrastructure for strawberries and raspberries (the preferred growing method for premium fruit) and 6ha of in-ground strawberries. BIT is undertaking a major expansion project, with the first phase developing a further 9ha of tunnel and table infrastructure designated for strawberries, ready for the 2022/23 harvest.
