I worked on improving construction productivity through technology. 2018 Director of Engineering: - Lead the Field and Platform groups (~ 25 folks). - Hired 16 engineers since taking on a management role, most senior, many through personal network & outreach. - Contributed to PlanGrid's long term product strategy. - Drove reorganization of engineering into feature teams & platform teams that can deliver on product strategy. - Shaped PlanGrid's engineering culture through a series of initiatives (open source contributions, tech talks, 20% time for working on platform improvements, redefinition of career ladder & compensation bands). 2016-2018 Engineering Manager: - Lead the iOS team as well as cross-functional product engineering teams. - Built one of the strongest iOS engineering teams in the SF Bay Area, which is widely recognized in the iOS community. - Helped significantly increase the amount of product initiatives my teams delivered. 2015-2016 Engineer & iOS Lead: - Lead iOS engineering efforts. - Shipped a large refactor project that established new best practices for feature development (across networking/sync, persistence, UI development). - Also significantly improved build and test tooling as well as release cadence.

I spent most of my time on a mobile product that helped improve efficiency of running retail stores. 2012 - 2013 Software Engineer & Project Lead: - Led a 5 person project team developing a mobile enterprise solution for LIDL one of the largest supermarket chains in Germany. - Planned new release cycles and was main point of contact for the client. Introduced a thorough technical documentation & testing process into the project - drastically reducing the defect count - Developed the iOS client and lead the technical discussion of the overall architecture. 2011 - 2012 Software Engineer: - I worked on a total of 6 different iOS projects and was the technical project lead of an enterprise software project. - I built two internal libraries, an XML Parser and a Flow Layout Management System that were used throughout various projects.
