Manage family investments in various asset classes and businesses - CRE and private equity. Generate stable and predictable returns on capital investments (IRR, MOIC and development yields) with an acceptable risk profile. Actively involved in day-to-day management and sourcing potential transactions. Responsibility for bookkeeping in Quickbooks, Cloud document retention, internal reporting, business planning/strategy, cultivating relationships with banking/lending partners, forecasting, and all other administrative functions. Coordination with other family holding company offices/fund managers/GPs on prospective investments - including Willow Oak Partners LLC. Specializing in several CRE asset classes including self storage, hospitality, industrial, office and single tenant retail. Salem has directly invested as an LP in multiple self storage development projects with successful dispositions/exits and returns to investors. Salem continues to participate and expand passive investments in private equity and hospitality funds, while still targeting direct/active investments in CRE as a sponsor with other qualified family offices/investors. Looking to expand direct private equity investments in small to mid cap businesses with attractive EBIDA/Returns on Invested Capital (ROIC), high barrier to entry, limited long term capital investment (i.e. fixed assets), stable margins and scalability. Businesses will have established management team with industry expertise, track record and financial acumen. Also, growth equity capital fund investments in proven business operating entities and models through search/acquire PE funding and other vehicles. Many CRE asset class investments are in the Carolinas and promote development in both North and South Carolina. Salem Capital's main office is in Charlotte, NC.
