Won the ‘Pilotfish Challenge 2002’, a global design competition created with the intention of finding 2 young, fresh and creative designers to head up the Pilotfish Taiwan Studio. Responsible for liasing with Asian clients and designing accurate and innovative concepts based on Marketing, Design and Technical input. Also charged with sourcing and liasing with reliable vendors for non-Asia based clients. Alongside external design work, my partner and I were charged with setting up the internal workings of the design studio.
Taught Design and Ideation to 3rd year Product Design students. Through a loose course outline, I constructed a class outline that was based on 3 main projects. These projects were designed to challenge the students to find innovative solutions for tangible products.
Responsible for designing a range of products from different industries. Strong team member for initial projects, later being promoted to project leader with budget, sourcing and management responsibilities.
Won one of nine Swinburne National School of Design (NSOD) 1-year contract placements in a professional design environment. Responsibilities included design concept development, client and vendor relations, team discussions and brainstorming and project management.
