Leads vision, strategy, and execution for the operations of a $2.5B endowment on behalf of this organization that provides financial assistance to the Georgia Institute of Technology. Scope of accountability includes the oversight of investment decisions, risk management, long-term strategic planning, asset allocations, and the development and management of external relationships. *Implemented a new strategic asset allocation that resulted in repositioning $1.5. billion in assets including the complete restructuring of a public equity portfolio, adding notional(derivative) exposure, introducing risk mitigation strategies and adding co-invest and direct investments to a private equity portfolio. *Institutionalized an investment program by implementing a formalized investment process including ODD, adding risk/performance analytics platform and CRM system. *Produced annualized portfolio returns of 13.4% generating $785 million in investment income for three years ending June 2022. *Generated $298 million in value add, outperforming policy benchmark by cumulative 1700 basis points. Asset Allocation, Manager Selection & bespoke opportunities all contributed.to relative outperformance. *Delivered top decile returns in FY2022, outperforming 97% of peer group as well as top quartile performance over both 3 and 5 year periods. *Increased engagement beyond investment committee initiating annual strategic review which takes place day prior to annual meeting so all interested parties can attend.
