a) Built-to-print projects • Responsibilities include reviewing drawing packages received from customers in terms of optical specifications, mechanical envelope, mechanical interface, environmental tests requirements, part tolerances, missing dimensions, materials, finishing, potential assembly problems and other relevant specifications/documents • Assigning assembly/component part numbers and creation of BOM • Issuing of drawings to configuration department so that they can be dispersed to the respective departments like QA, machine shop, purchasing/sourcing • Prototype making, testing and evaluation b) Customised design projects • Travelling to customers’ sites in the US and Israel to meet customers to discuss about design requirements and attend design reviews • Perform conceptual design studies according to customer's specifications • Model 3D models at component and assembly level using Solidworks • Create 2D drawings and BOM and preparation of other related documents • Perform stress analyses using Solidworks Simulation • Prototype making, testing and evaluation • Ensure quality control at assembly/production stage Completed the following customised design projects: 1.
