Administers the grant programs for The Aaron Copland Fund for Music, The Amphion Foundation, The Virgil Thomson Foundation, and other foundations that fund contemporary classical music, including the Koussevitzky Music Foundation and the Charles Ives Society. The Aaron Copland Fund for Music maintains three separate grant programs in support of contemporary American music. -The Recording Program -The Performance Program -The Supplemental Program The Amphion Foundation maintains two separate grant programs. It encourages the performance of contemporary concert music, particularly by American composers, through support to performing and presenting organizations that have demonstrated sustained artistic excellence, in addition to service organizations. The purpose of the Virgil Thomson Foundation is to further and promote the performance, preservation, dissemination and public appreciation of serious music in general and the music and writings of Virgil Thomson in particular. -Administers custom online application system -Determines applicant's eligibility to grant programs -Advises applicants on grant program application process -Administers grantee awards, payments, and reports -Coordinates panel meetings for all foundations -Manages extensive multi-year grantee databases -Maintains Foundation websites
