In 2011, I was brought in by the PE board to turnaround flat sales and drive innovation for a $4Bn company comprised of the legacy Del Monte vegetable/fruit and pet food and snacks businesses, taken private by PE firms in March 2011. As Group Executive Vice President & Chief Growth Officer | EVP, Brands – DEL MONTE FOODS (2011–2014): I led financial and strategic management of all company brands in both the human and pet food/snacks businesses across Category/Brand Management, R&D, Innovation, Consumer/Customer Insights, Marketing, and Creative Services. IMPACT: ▷Prime contributor to the sale of the Del Monte legacy business to Del Monte Pacific for $1.7B (9x EBITDA) reflecting a strong return on investment for PE owners As Chief Growth Officer | Executive Vice President, Marketing – BIG HEART PET BRANDS (2014-2015): I was appointed to lead overall financial and strategic management for widely distributed pet food and snacks brands in the U.S. following carve-out from Del Monte Foods in 2014. Here I led an organization responsible for generating $1.9B in net sales and over $400M in EBIT, overseeing Innovation, Consumer/Customer insights, Marketing and Creative Services, Corporate Communications, Government Relations groups, and the company’s Canadian subsidiary.
