Cecilia Cortes's current jobs
As Associate Director of Programs, I lead initiatives that advance gender, racial, and economic justice for women and gender-expansive individuals, particularly in historically underinvested and marginalized communities across New York City. I focus on community wealth building workers rights and sustainable and reparative economic models that center people and environment. In this role, I design and implement community-informed grantmaking strategies, manage both ongoing and new strategic projects, and foster collective impact through convenings, communities of practice, and peer learning. I also lead participatory grantmaking and community engagement efforts, cultivate strategic partnerships, and contribute to thought leadership aligned with our mission. With a deep commitment to transformative, relationship-centered engagement, I support grantee partners through thought partnership, and capacity-building opportunities focused on leadership development, sustainability, and collaboration.
