Dubai Pet Food is the biggest retailer and E-commerce company in GCC selling pet food, litter and accesories for pets and small animals. The company also has a big aquatics division. Reporting to the CEO the role is to manage the entire supply chain by leading teams in the functions of Procurement, CS Operations & Logistics (Inbound & Outbound), Inventory control & Warehouse. Part of the leadership team to support the company in supply chain operational part for new stores, new channels of sales in UAE and other GCC markets. Achievements • Set up the Operations Team structure with roles and responsibilities. • Improved the Inventory shrinkage from about 8% to less than 1.8% of the Inventory Value and 0.25% versus net sales. • Inventory value reduced by AED 400k even with a sales turnover increase of AED 1.5 mil more per month average compared to FY 19. Brought down the overall inventory hold to 2.05 months of cover with foreign vendors at about 4 months and local vendors at 0.9 months. • Streamlined the warehouse in terms of racking with bin locations (without WMS), for easy identification for picking and put away and implementing WMS system. • Continuous training and development of teams in the areas of Procurement, Inventory Mgt., Warehouse and Logistics • Set up best practices in all areas of operations. • Set up reports/dashboard on Inventory incl., Value at Risk(SLOB), Vendor service levels, OOS report, Landed Cost tracker(inbound logistics costs), Import shipments tracker, Vendor payment tracker and approval process, Reports on Livestock Mortalities, Cycle Counts, Damages, Audit roll, Shop Usage, Pick pack times, Driver performance, delivery lead times, delivery costs, Customer complaints, operations costs etc. • Ensured spike in online orders (ecom) which doubled during Covid was met with agility ensuring on time deliveries with all safety measures.
