SuggestedServing is a passion project that I created with my brother upon returning to Richmond for grad school. Inspired by the change in the Richmond since I left in 2003, I wanted to explore. Each week we find and tell the story of something new or interesting in the city be it food, art, music, or simply a member of the community.
Singlehandedly executed all marketing functions for the first 11 months of the business. Reported to CEO. Once a VP was hired, reported to VP Marketing. Responsibilities and accomplishments: • Manage the daily email program to Jetsetter members (through Jul ’10). • Execute digital media buys (email) from deal through creative. • Grew social media presence from day one to today (100K fans on Facebook, 10K Twitter followers). • Validate SEM as a viable member acquisition channel and manage SEM contractor to scale campaigns. • Create and execute promotions and partnerships designed for member acquisition. • Develop branding and creative for launch of Jetsetter 24/7 in Jan ’11
Built and managed German-language SEM campaigns to a 1.5x ROI on a monthly basis. Trained analysts in other European markets. Reported performance of all international SEM to executive team. While at KAYAK, I also made the initial forays into Twitter and YouTube content.
Managed the US office consisting of a small team of videographers who produced content for a fledgling media site out of the UK.
