I am the initiator and the past Chairman of SNIA Malaysia from 2010-2012. I have mooted the requirement of the SNIA chapter in Malaysia in 2008, and initiated the inception of SNIA in Malaysia. I have just taken up the role of SNIA Malaysia Chairman for 2014, to continue my role to forward the association for the SNIA International Regional Affiliate (RA) status. I have stepped down as Chairman of SNIA Malaysia in Dec 2012 to allow new blood to lead the SNIA initiative to new horizon. I remain in the background to continue my passion for SNIA. I intend to develop new initiatives such as the Technical Working Group (TWG) inline with SNIA International's Technical Council of the Global Steering Committee. SNIA Malaysia is the local chapter of Storage Networking Industry Association International, a not-for-profit organization with its mission to promote a vendor-neutral storage technology standards, education and certification. SNIA International has more than 400 member companies world wide. SNIA Malaysia's objectives are * Promote Storage Networking Technology standards * Share storage netwoking & data management best practices * Inform of Storage Networking Education and Certification SNIA Malaysia hold monthly meetings for industry business networking and technology sharing every first Wednesday of the month.
