Identify and develop potential vendors / suppliers for wind turbine components/parts for product and processes, closely monitor performance of proto, pilot lots and serialize. Witness testing and carry out inspections for critical components at supplier end, review inspection and test reports, provide dispatch clearances for proto and pilot lots. Facilitate strategizing alternate vendor/component development polices considering aspects like business plan, supply security, risks and threats, upcoming technologies, etc. Improve manufacturing processes to enhance product and process quality, reduce cycle time, reduce human fatigue, reduce human errors, etc. Manage claims for serial defects or problems from suppliers. Facilitate contracting with existing and new suppliers by providing inputs from Supply Chain Engineering side. Special projects based on management requirement like explore new technologies, evaluate companies for potential acquisition/technology transfer etc. Co-ordinate sell of spares in aftermarket.

Identify and develop potential vendors/suppliers from China for mechanical, electrical, composite components based on business requirements. Witness serial gearbox testing at supplier end, review documents and provide dispatch clearance. Carryout prototype/pilot inspections at new suppliers under development in China. Visit suppliers, industry specific trade fairs, exhibitions, etc. in China to get updated with new concepts, new components, new technologies, and business opportunities.

Identify and develop potential vendors / suppliers for wind turbine components / spares. Monitor performance of newly developed suppliers and serialize. Improve wind turbine manufacturing process by automation, introducing new tools, jigs, fixtures etc. resulting in cycle time reduction and Man-hours per machine reduction. Provide technical disposal on non-moving and slow-moving inventory. Special projects – e.g. technology transfer, new business opportunities, exploring new technologies etc.

Interface between SCM-India and technology team-Germany for new product development (NPD). Facilitate inclusion of suppliers during NPD from SCM perspective. Interface between SCM India, technology team – Germany and existing suppliers for technical issues, warranty claims, design changes, and new developments. Align SCM and technology teams to conclude on ongoing new Research & Development projects considering prevailing business needs and the company situation.

Identify potential vendors / suppliers, for wind turbine components/spares. SPOC for design change process - Evaluate/validate design change ideas and provide disposal. Validate ECPs (Engineering Change Proposals) on feasibility of changes. Plan and implement ECN (Engineering Change Note). Track change implementation including modification of parts (in-house or outsourcing) as applicable.

Improve assembly process through Pokayoke, Kaizen, P-FMEA etc. Develop jigs and fixtures, reduce man-hours per machine, and reduce assembly lead time. Carry out prototype assemblies and testing for new components / alternate component / alternate vendor / alternate suppliers and related improvements in design and processes. BOM, process audits and validation. Online trouble shoot, carry out root cause analysis and provide solutions on nonconformities during assembly and testing of Nacelle and Hub, Plan, execute, inspect and monitor refurbishment of old Turbines. Technically evaluate non-moving and slow moving inventory for disposal.

Supervise Stamping Unit. Prepare material requisition as per production plan. Material management within shop for raw material, dies and tools. Production planning and machine allocation. Preparation of monthly, quarterly and yearly production reports. Time study for new products.
