AA Insurance is a Joint Venture between the Suncorp Group and the New Zealand Automobile Association. I am responsible for managing the company’s growth, profitability, culture and organisational reputation. Since its inception and launch AA Insurance has grown significantly and is now one of New Zealand’s leading direct personal insurance companies with over 650 employees. AA Insurance has been a finalist in the IBM/Kenexa Best Workplaces Awards for six consecutive years and was awarded overall Best Workplace and Best Large Workplace in 2011. In 2015 AA Insurance was voted most improved large workplace in the awards based on employee engagement. AA Insurance has consistently been voted New Zealand’s most trusted Insurance brand in the annual Readers Digest survey since 2011. Canstar Blue has consistently rated AA Insurance top for customer satisfaction for car, home and contents insurance in recent years. AA Insurance was chosen for the New Zealand Direct Insurer of the Year award in 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015 by the New Zealand insurance industry. In 2015 and 2016 AA Insurance was recognised as one of New Zealand's highest ranked organisations in respect of corporate reputation. The Colmar Brunton reputation index (RepZ) ranked AA Insurance third of the top 20 of 50 New Zealand Corporates based on four pillars of trust, responsibility, leadership and fairness. I am an Associate of the Australian Insurance Institute and hold a Graduate Diploma in Business (Administration) from the University of Auckland. I am also a member of the Institute of Directors and am a director on the board of the Insurance Council of New Zealand.
