An all file based workflow as media production continues its evolution to a completely digital world. Responsibilities included day to day oversight of +400Terrabyte storage area network and data transfers over proprietary Deluxe inter-company networks worldwide. Provided site wide overview of network storage and strategic configuration/execution of archives and restores of all project data assets using Sun/Storagetek tape library through Atempo Software on Linux & Macintosh hosts. Inclusive in all of this was tracking, solving and implementing procedural fixes for all data workflow problems encountered throughout the production cycle for the studio. Managed Data group responsible for job structure creation, data moves, copies, uploads, downloads and handling all digital input and final output to data tape & disk of client deliverables.
Management of image pipeline from incoming digital plates through to final client deliverables of composited scene data. Provided end to end technical support and diagnostics of all aspects of the data ingestion process including color management and digital imaging diagnostics, while leading the group through a transition to a pure datacentric production model. Added Editorial group and built 7 person Dustbusting team to augment Scanning & Recording demands for production deliverable assets. Maintenance and upgrades on FMP databases throughout facility, to better support: Editorial, Scan Record, DD Commercials, Vault and HR. Created library of scripted tools to provide live updates from ARRILASER to production webpage email completion of job queues and extended toolsets for ScanRec users for file management.

Discreet moved to address growing digital film customer needs and began building tools/technology to fill the voids in newly introduced Inferno and legacy products: Flame, Flint. Riot was the digital film product intended to be a suite of digital film tools, device drivers, image file conversions and colour management technology to help customers get their wysiwyg on film.
