The total team includes all aspects of a medical device business, including Technologists, Designers, Human Factors, Business Development, Strategic Marketing, Project Management, Medical, Verification, and Regulatory. The group’s mission is built upon the investments made by KCI over many years and has provided us with outstanding lab and prototype facilities and skills. We engage in Open Innovation as well as internally sources opportunities and solutions.

The total team includes all aspects of an entrepreneurial medical device business, including Technologists, Designers, Human Factors, Business Development, Strategic Marketing, Project Management, Medical, Verification, and Regulatory. The group’s mission is built upon the investments made by KCI over many years and has provided us with outstanding lab and prototype facilities and skills. We engage in Open Innovation as well as internally sources opportunities and solutions.
I am responsible for KCI's Global Engineering functions both in the UK and the US. I lead the Human Centred Design, Embedded Systems, Mechanical Systems and Systems Engineering groups as part of the Engineering, Science and Technical Services function within the Innovation and Stategic Marketting department. I also have 'Site Principle' dotted line responsibility for the Ferndown facility and other R&D functions on site.

Project Technical Leader for the VAC ATS therapy system and disposables (TRAC). Responsible to manufacturing integration. Project engineer on the VAC Classic, and VAC ATS products. Responsible for VAC product sustaining engineering in the U.K.
Managed the Test Department for a range of data acquisition and telemetry products. Included working with Engineering on DFM, ME, managing the introduction of new products to manufacture, design and assembly of custom automated test systems and fixtures, training and management of department staff as well as assuming a larger role in the management of the production department as and when required. Trendview range of data management systems are now owned by Honeywell.
4 year Engineering apprenticeship with Penny & Giles. Worked in 4 different divisions of the Data Technology Group, completing the final year with P&G Instrumentation. Spent time in each critical function within the company learning how a company works and what in needed to execute. Included time in manufacturing and Systems Test which is where I completed my final year. During my first year off-site at the PEITC, I was awarded the Siemens-Plessey Cup for best overall final project for a programmable function generator and test system of my own design and construction
