Chris Rowe's current jobs
We strengthen self-directed investors in three capacities: Guidance, Education, Data (charts, tools, indicators, price data, institutional investor behavior etc.). Our goal is to create better investors by teaching an investment framework specific to the investor's risk tolerance and appetite for volatility. Our framework makes it very easy to see and "get" the financial markets. Our technology makes it very easy to navigate and trade/invest in it. Our goal is to do for investing what Apple did for computers - make it fun, cool and easy - not just for niche nerds. Of all investment approaches ("factors"), momentum investing and relative strength investing has the most documented research, back-tests, proven models etc. Studies from a large number of different firms and analysts, performed on a large number of different time frames, using many different securities, asset classes and indices show the same thing - that relative strength investing tends to beat benchmarks over the long-term with superior risk-adjusted returns. Relative strength investing can be used on all asset classes and sectors. It can be adjusted for different volatility levels. This means an investor who uses RS investing can use it in a way that is comfortable for that specific investor. This is important because investors who underperform tend to do so because they create an investment portfolio that has a level of volatility that does not match the investor's comfort level. The investor may be in a strong portfolio but when the portfolio experiences the inevitable drawdown (decline from peak to trough), it is too much for the investor to handle and the exit at the worst time. RS investing works and can be adjusted to experience volatility levels customized for any investor. It's adaptive in nature and forces investors to stay invested in the funds or securities that are best addressing the current market environment.
