Working closely with a cross-functional team of product designers, developers, marketers, and business leaders, I am responsible for defining the processes by which we craft meaningful user experiences. I also act as the principal UX writer and content designer for the organization.
As a member of the Digital Products and Platforms team, I helped conceive, plan, build, and launch new products. In addition to creating product roadmaps and business models, my responsibilities included conducting user research, writing user stories, prioritizing the product backlog, reporting on product metrics, and UX writing.
In this role, I was tasked with helping to ensure the success of multiple products through data analysis, user acceptance testing, and translating business requirements into technical specifications.
In this position, I created and executed digital content strategies. My duties included conducting requirements analysis, analytics implementation and reporting, optimizing new and existing content for search engines, and UX writing.
My responsibilities included copy editing, formatting, and disseminating press releases for global distribution. I also provided instruction on how to best optimize content for search engines, and was responsible for the accurate and timely filing of regulatory documents for publicly traded companies.
As a reporter with the Sustainability Office, I helped to promote environmental initiatives on campus by composing engaging articles for campus publications.
At the Echo, I was responsible for covering local news, composing original content, and assisting with the final proofreading of copy. During my time here, I gained experience writing news stories, features, and editorials on a range of topics. I also gained experience writing enticing ledes and headlines, and learned a great deal about journalistic ethics and practices in general.
